Founded in December 2024, Aletheia is a philosophy publication that features three distinct columns. The articles published in these columns will be compiled into a newsletter which will be sent to subscribers every Sunday. Content will also be available on the website to view at any time.
Note: Some content will be available only to paid subscribers. To get access to everything we publish, please consider becoming a paid subscriber.
Our first newsletter is planned, tentatively, for February. After that, you can expect a newsletter every Sunday.
Our Columns
The Symposium aims to make philosophy accessible and engaging for the general public. We believe that philosophy can enrich everyone’s life, and that some of the best philosophy is done at the dinner table. So, grab a drink and join us at the Symposium as we ponder some of life’s biggest questions!
The Lyceum is an academic column. Here you will find journal quality work from professional philosophers. Content published here may seem esoteric to the general reader.
The Atheneum is a student-oriented column. Here, we offer students an opportunity to grow as writers and thinkers by providing a forum for them to test their ideas while receiving personal guidance and exposure to the peer-review process.

Aletheia was created to combat some academic practices that, to me, seem damaging to philosophy and philosophers.
I believe that:
Writers and reviewers deserve to get paid for their work. (We have a revenue sharing structure.)
Length constraints and an overemphasis on citations and historical preludes are a burden to philosophical thought and creativity. (See Gettier’s influential 3 page paper on JTB!)
It shouldn’t take 6+ months to receive an initial decision to a submitted a manuscript. While we are working toward a two-week turnaround time, there may be delays as we get started.
